  I put it in my mouth and ate it.

  It was disgusting. It tasted of perfume and sprouts. But I had to do it to save the human race.

  Harry took off again and we went inside and slumped on the sofa. Weirdly, I didn’t find David’s sneezes annoying anymore.

  After all, we’d never have been able to defeat the Chompers or befriend the Choos without him.

  I never thought I’d say this, but I’m glad we took David along with . . .

  No. I take that back.

  He’s still REALLY annoying.
